Professional Summary: Ryan began his career in the restaurant industry while in college, quickly rising through the Outback Steakhouse system before shifting his focus to business, graduating from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2000 with a degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Business Law. Since joining Stirling in 2001, he has built a strong track record representing major national retailers and negotiating significant deals on both the tenant and landlord sides, while also contributing to several development projects for the company and for his own ventures. In 2017, Ryan and his wife, Traci, launched Paws & Paw Paw’s, a highly regarded boarding, daycare, and grooming business in Acadiana. He later returned to his restaurant roots by creating Tchoup’s MIDCITY Restaurant + Bar, transforming a 75-year-old home into a distinctive dining and bar destination that operated successfully for nearly five years before closing at the end of 2025 so Ryan could pursue new opportunities. Driven by a passion for community improvement, he also founded Adopted Dog Brewing, Lafayette’s only brewery within city limits, which opened in 2023 and features a 7-barrel system, a broad tap selection, a full pub menu, and live music. Beyond his business ventures, Ryan contributes to regional progress through his service on OneAcadiana’s Board of Directors and Urban Revitalization Committee, his advisory work on Lafayette’s Unified Development Code, and his role as Vice Chairman on the University of Louisiana’s Ragin Cajun Athletic Foundation’s Executive Committee.
